We design with the end user in mind.  Manufacturability is the key to our outstanding designs.  We understand that if there are long cycle times, difficult processes, and poor part quality, profits and product quality are quickly lost.

DesignTek works with its customers as a reliable partner to develop a wide variety of products and equipment.   Products often have many of what appear to be conflicting criteria including; ease of use, small size, low cost, high reliability, safety and compliance (UL, CE, FCC).  DesignTek’s development process allows us to efficiently identify the optimal design to meet these requirements while minimizing the time to market. DesignTek’s Program Managers and engineers stay on top of leading edge technologies by maintaining a tight relationship with our technology suppliers. This technology expertise allows us to anticipate where new technology can be applied to a product to give it a competitive advantage when it reaches the market place.

Why can we develop superior products?

BECAUSE:

bulletWe understand the processes for designing and building quality tooling.
bulletWe understand injection molding and plastic processing.
bulletWe understand secondary operations and the assembly process.
bulletWe work closely with you.

Design Process

Step 1
Gain a complete understanding of the product and manufacturing processes.
We work closely with our customers to understand their product criteria and manufacuring processes.
Step 2
Concept development and approval.
We use the latest tools to communicate your product design in a timely fashion as we develop it.  We gladly make changes and adjustments to achieve your desired design intent.

Step 3
Design verification.
We provide product analysis such as FEA analysis and Mold Flow analysis to verify your product is ready for manufacture.
We also will provide you with functional prototypes or rapid prototypes for functional testing and appearance approval.
Step 4
Provide 3D CAD models and part prints.
